Day 1: Arrive at Delhi

Most flights arrive either in the evening or at night, and we recommend that our guests consider arriving a day earlier as this allows you to recuperate from jetlag, and serves as insurance against international flight delays and cancellations. An additional night’s hotel stay can be added at the time of reservation.

Baby Gharials at Riberbank

Bandhavgarh National Park. Bandhavgarh is statistically India’s best park for tiger sightings, almost always resulting in multiple sightings over your 5 safaris here. The park is home to a variety of wildlife including leopards, sloth bears, Indian bison (gaur), sambar deer, barking deer, and langurs. The avian population is equally impressive, with over 250 species of birds recorded in the park. Birdwatchers can delight in spotting species like the crested serpent eagle, the Malabar pied hornbill, and the Indian roller, among others. The rich and varied wildlife makes each safari a unique experience, offering new encounters and sightings every time. The park derives its name from the more than 2000-year-old hilltop Bandhavgarh Fort.

(Overnight – Bandhav Vilas)

Days 3 & 4: Bandhavgarh. (B,L,D)

Enjoy morning and afternoon jeep wildlife safaris into the park on both days. Safaris at Bandhavgarh are conducted in the mornings and afternoons. The early morning safaris, starting at the crack of dawn, are ideal for spotting wildlife as animals are more active during this time. The afternoon safaris, on the other hand, provide a different ambiance as the sun sets, casting a golden hue over the landscape and creating perfect photographic opportunities. In-between safaris, your lodge offers multiple activities, including al fresco dining with jungle views, wildlife lectures and videos, and village excursions.

(Overnight – Bandhav Vilas)

Alpha Male Tiger

Day 5: Bandhavgarh – Kanha National Park. (B,L,D)

Enjoy your last safari into the park this morning. After this you will return to your lodge to freshen up and enjoy breakfast. You are assisted with your check-out and driven through jungles and rural areas to Kanha Tiger Reserve. A packed lunch is provided by your lodge for the journey.

Easy Tours recommends that, while planning your dates, you keep in mind the fact that there are no safaris on Wednesday afternoons at Bandhavgarh and Kanha. So, this 5-hour jungle drive should ideally be scheduled for a Wednesday. However, if this is not possible, there are many other activities available at the lodges on Wednesdays, such as village and nature walks.

Arrive at Kanha, the setting for Kipling’s Jungle Book, and you are assisted with your check-in to your top-ranked upscale jungle lodge. Kanha is one of India’s largest National Parks and many wildlife enthusiasts consider it to be Asia's finest Wildlife Park. The Park covers an area of 751 square miles, including a core zone of 363 square miles.

Tiger with Cubs at Kanha

The primary attraction of Kanha National Park is its tiger population, but the park boasts over 70 species of mammals, including leopards, wild dogs, sloth bears, and the rare hardground barasingha (swamp deer), a once critically endangered species, has been revived within the park, a testament to Kanha's successful conservation efforts. Herds of spotted deer, sambar, and gaurs (Indian bison) are commonly seen grazing in the meadows, offering ample opportunities for wildlife photography.

The avian life in Kanha is equally impressive, with more than 300 species of birds. Birdwatchers can delight in spotting diverse species such as the crested serpent eagle, the racket-tailed drongo, and the Indian roller.

(Overnight - Singinawa Jungle Lodge)

Crested Eagle Hawk

Days 6 & 7: Kanha. (B,L,D)

Enjoy morning and afternoon jeep wildlife safaris into the Reserve on each of these days. Each safari in Kanha is an adventure that unfolds differently every time. The park's diverse topography ensures that no two safaris are alike. From the verdant sal forests in the elevated plateaus to the sprawling grasslands of the lowlands, the scenery changes dramatically, creating a dynamic and ever-changing backdrop. The meandering rivers and tranquil waterholes are lifelines for the park's inhabitants, and these spots often become focal points during safaris, offering captivating moments as animals gather to drink and interact.

You are greeted at the Guwahati airport, and after a break for lunch, you proceed on the drive to Kaziranga National Park. Arrive at Kaziranga and check in to your top-ranked boutique jungle lodge. Rhino Mother & Child

Kaziranga National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its biodiversity and conservation efforts. Covering an area of approximately 430 square kilometers, the park is characterized by its lush floodplains, tall elephant grass, dense tropical forests, and numerous water bodies, including rivers and lakes. The park's landscape is a dynamic one, shaped by the annual flooding of the Brahmaputra River, which replenishes the soil and sustains the grasslands. These seasonal changes contribute to the rich habitat, supporting a complex web of life.

Kaziranga has the world’s largest population of the Greater One-Horned Rhinoceroses, and is home to what some call India's Big Four - The Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros, the Asiatic Elephant, the Asiatic Wild Buffalo, and the Bengal Tiger. The park supports a rich avian diversity, making it a haven for bird watchers with over 500 species recorded, including the endangered Bengal florican, greater adjutant stork, and various migratory birds.

(Overnight – Diphlu River Lodge)

Days 11, 12, & 13. Kaziranga. (B,L,D)

Enjoy morning and afternoon safaris into the park on both of these days. Easy Tours will arrange your six included safaris into the based on your preferences. Kaziranga is one of India’s few remaining parks that still offer elephant-back safaris, which are usually an hour or a bit longer. Jeep Safari’s are usually about 2.5 to 3 hours. There is a choice of zones, each one offering a wonderful selection of attractions. By default, we include all 6 safaris as jeep safaris, with 4 in the Central Zone, and 2 in the Western Zone.
