Egypt's amazing monuments date back over 5000 years and the incredible
wealth of awe-inspiring ancient structures and other creations is not found anywhere else on
our planet. Life in Egypt has always resolved on the iconic Nile River which has supported
Egyptian civilization from time immemorial.
Vibrant Cairo with its teeming souks and mosques, the awe-inspiring structures in
Luxor, Abu Simbel, and Aswan, the crystal-clear Red Sea with its incredible

No other land has seen so many cultures influence its history. After the roughly 2000-year
glorious rule and amazing achievements of the native Pharaonic dynasties who created most of
what you will experience, the land was conquered by a quick succession of foreigners
including the Libyans, Nubians, Assyrians, and Persians. This was followed by Alexander the
Great's conquest, and the creation of Hellenic sites such as those in Alexandria.
After this the Roman's took over and Egypt became one of the most important parts of the
Roman Empire, further adding to the diversity of its monuments and culture. Christianity
started spreading in Egypt almost 2000 years ago and soon after the Coptic Church was born,
giving Egypt wonderful Churches and Monasteries such as those found in Coptic

monuments, the highlights of their exploration included the wonderful local cuisine, the
charming old towns of Islamic and Coptic Cairo, cruising on the Nile, and walking through
the fascinating souks.
Egypt has the most awe-inspiring ancient sites on this planet, all accompanied by a
historical narrative that is similarly impressive. With Easy Tours you get to experience
these with Egypt's best Egyptologist guides and support staff.
But ancient sites do not often become lifetime memories for true explorers. The memories you
will cherish are interactions with humans that you encounter as you explore. Your Tour
Director will be happy to facilitate and interpret such interactions.
Nature offers amazing land and seascapes in Egypt. The fertile Nile Valley runs through some
of the world's most arid desert, with the river cultivating the lands near its banks.
Life revolves around the Nile and 95% of the nation's population lives within a few
miles of its waters. The Red Sea offers some of the world's best diving and snorkeling,
as well as crystal-clear waters and wonderful beaches.
Most American explorers start their journey in Cairo and spend a few days exploring the
region's wealth of attractions. Those who want to visit Alexandria will then be driven
about 3 hours north to the coastal Mediterranean city.
The next destinations are almost always Luxor and Aswan, in whatever order you prefer.
Whether you are departing from Alexandria or Cairo, your journey south will be a flight from
Cairo airport - Alexandria's airport does not offer any nonstop flights to either
destination.
The journey between Aswan and Luxor is often done on a Luxury Nile Cruise. For our guests
who do not want a Nile Cruise we offer driving options that are a much shorter duration.
During the drive you have the option to stop at the incredible temples at Edfu, Esna and Kom
Ombo, all of which are part of cruise itineraries. Most of our guests usually end their
luxury Egypt tour at the Oberoi Beach Resort on the Red Sea, which is a fairly short drive
from Luxor. Other resorts are available, and we are happy to arrange world-class diving
and/or snorkeling for our guests.
As the best tour company for Egypt, we offer the option to add destinations and experiences.
You can experience upscale tents in the White and/or Black Deserts, and on the banks of
either of the two oases near ancient Fayoum. 4X4 desert safaris and sandboarding are common
experiences to be found in Egypt.
If your goal is to avoid higher temperatures,
October to March is the best time to visit Egypt, although December and January can be
slightly cold in the Cairo region. Except for the Nile Valley and the coasts, Egypt is a
desert and the Luxor and Aswan region is extremely hot in summer. There is very little, if
any, precipitation throughout the year.

private tours operate throughout the year. For example, most guests from the Southern United
States can explore whenever they please.

application or your travel dates.
Egypt requires that your United States passport have at least 6 months validity remaining
when you arrive in their country. We recommend the single entry 30-Day Egypt visa which a
has 90-day validity from the date of issue. The visa is usually granted withing a couple of
days of your applying, but we recommend applying about 6 weeks before your arrival in Egypt.
It is a simple online process that you will want to do at the appropriate time. There is
also a multiple entry visa that is valid for 180 days from the date of issue.

Although they tend not to ask for it, we recommend that you take a copy of your itinerary
with you as they officially can ask about your arrangements while in Egypt.
